Asia Allied Technologies starts this October 2002 the design and installation of a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) for ALTERMED Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pascual Laboratories. ALTERMED Corporation is a 100% Filipino-owned company engaged in the processing, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of high quality, effective and economical Natural Products.

Currently ALTERMED has 4 market-leading herbal products namely Lagundi (ASCOF), Sambong (RE-LEAF) tablets and Akapulko (ACADERM), Amargozin (AMPALAYA). ALTERMED Corporation is the first and only private Filipino pharmaceutical compnay duly licensed by the BFAD to successfully market herbal medicines in dosage forms. Other herbal-based natural products soon to be released for public consumption are Pro-Lacta (Malunggay), Cholextrol (Garlic), Arpan (Pansit-pansitan), Vegies (Saluyot), Yeba (Yerba Buena), Diaban (Banaba) and Re-GIT (Tsaang-Gubat) all in capsule forms.

Phase 1 of the MIS design and installation is the deployment of the corporate website of ALTERMED Corporation which will contain, among others, full product information on all its current and future products, a synopsis of key scientific studies conducted, profiles of ALTERMED's organic farm and manufacturing plants and a searchable database of trade partners (drugstores) where its herbal natural products can be found and purchased.

Phase 2 will involve the deployment of a web-based inventory management and order-tracking mechanism that ALTERMED's Territorial Business Managers (TBMs) will use to improve product turn-over and product availability of ALTERMED's more than 250 participating, privately-owned trade partners nationwide.
